WELCOME to the new Pastor of Central Baptist Church, Rev. Mike Taylor and his beautiful wife, Allison!!! Following a very energetic and inspirational message this morning, Rev Mike was voted in by a huge majority of the congregation.
The subject of his sermon was "Being an Extraordinary Church." We believe this extraordinary man will lead us in the direction God wants us to go. His first day to begin at Central will be Monday, March 25th.

Our wonderful Transitional Pastor, Rev. Terry Rice will be greatly missed. He won the hearts of all of our members as he led us through this difficult time and has become a part of our church family. Brother Terry's last sermon will be preached on Sunday, March 24th. Following the worship service, we will have an appreciation luncheon in his honor. The church will provide the meat and members are asked to bring vegetables, salads and desserts. Make every effort to be there to wish him well & thank him for his service at Central.

The National Day of Prayer is set for Thursday, May 2nd (always the 1st Thursday of May), and there are at least 2 comunity-wide events for you to be aware of:

*National Day of Prayer Breakfast, Gainesville Civic Center, 6:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Guest speaker wil be Dr. Emir Caner, Truett-McConnell College. Breakfast provided by Longstreet Cafe. Tickets are $17.00.

* A 2nd National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2nd is free of charge - a prayer gathering on the square at 12:00 noon.
